Origin
Wild-source venosa population from Old Dock, Columbus Co, NC. Mike's in-cultivation history dates at least to early 2012. jasonksepka (post #5, 2012-09-13) reports an in-situ visit confirming the wild locality.

- 2012-09-13 — jasonksepka in-situ confirmation: "I had the pleasure of seeing these plants in situ in Old Dock this year. They were nice looking then too. Not quite as colorfull as they were covered by grass"
No further Mike-posts in this thread. The population may exist under other Mike threads in subsequent years.
Standout traits
- Multi-clone diversity within a single locality
- Fast pot-fill / vigorous growth in 2012 cultivation timeline
- Wild-site grass shading produces less intense color than cultivation full-sun
Cultivation notes
Outdoor Northern California. No special protection.
