A multi-individual Washington Co, AL leucophylla accession with notable population genetic diversity. Wash. Co genetics flush 1-2 weeks earlier than most leucos. Mike has used the population for cross-breeding to recover new selections; named descendants include 'punto blanco' (thread 5208) and likely several other Wash. Co named clones in this archive. 13 Mike photos (2018-2021).
Standout traits
- Wash. Co genetics produce pitchers 1-2 weeks earlier than most other leucophylla populations
- Strong spring/summer trap production
- Population genetic diversity high — Mike has crossed multiple clones from the population to recover novel selections (e.g. 'punto blanco', see thread 5208)
- Source population for several named selections
Cultivation
- Mike took his first divisions from these mother plants in ~2021, after ~10 years of growing them undivided.
