- First described
- 2023
- Type
- single clone
- Cultivar
- 'pink and white'
Origin
A pink-class S. leucophylla from Baldwin Co, AL, distinguished from other Mike pink leucos by a higher proportion of white.
Standout traits
- More white than typical for pink leucos.
- Neon-pink trap interior (2024 update).
- Light-responsive: white extends further down on the sun-exposed side of a trap.
Note: thread also captures a sibling-character clone (Nov 2025)
Post #5 (2025-11-05) shows a different clone Mike places in the "pink and white" category. May warrant its own entry once named.
Standout traits
- Pink leucophylla with more white than most other clones in this category.
- Trap interior unexpectedly neon pink (Nov 2024 update post-division).
- Light-dependent phenotypic plasticity: white extends further down on the sun-exposed side of a trap (visible on a 2023 split-illumination photo).
Cultivation
Light hitting the trap directly affects how far white extends down. Mike expects improved color contrast as the white front of the trap matures.
