Origin
A long-cultivated S. flava var. rubricorpora clone in Mike's collection — ~25 years (since ~1999). First photo-documented on the forum in 2024.
Standout traits
- 25-year-survival pedigree.
- Very tall — though shorter than Mike's 'back row giant' rubricorpora.
Standout traits
- In Mike's collection ~25 years (since ~1999).
- Extremely tall — Mike: 'gets extremely tall but not quite as tall as the back row giant rubricorpora clone.'
- Typical rubricorpora low-pitcher count: 2-3 pitchers per season — but those few are large (Mike, thread 646 post #1, 2013).
- Mouth 'kink' phenotype — Mike (thread 646 post #4, 2013) sees this as environmental, not genetic, on Clone N (kink absent in 2011 photos, present in some 2013 traps). Distinguished from 'Burgundy' where the kink is consistent year-over-year and therefore genetic.
- Late-opening pitchers — opens after most other clones from the same population (Mike, 2013-04-29).
Cultivation
Long-term performer — survived 25 years in collection without thread documentation.
