Origin
A rubricorpora clone Mike imported from Europe. Original wild origin not stated. Mike's view: one of the best rubricorporas in existence — but very slow growing under his NorCal conditions, with divisions hard to come by.
Naming caveat
This is distinct from S. leucophylla 'Burgundy' (cluster C0015) — different species, different cultivar with the same "Burgundy" name. Don't conflate them.
Standout traits
- Mike's view: 'Definitely one of the best rubricorporas out there.'
- Very slow growing under Mike's conditions — Mike: 'taking forever to get divisions.'
- Imported from Europe — likely cultivation chain longer than typical US-grown rubricorporas.
Cultivation
Slow-growth pattern in Mike's NorCal climate. Plant the long game: divisions are scarce because the clone reproduces slowly.

Naming
"Burgundy" — the deep burgundy-red coloration trait, established in European cultivation before Mike acquired it.
