A Berkeley Co maxima rescued from ~10 years of shade in a community tray. Now produces extremely yellow traps + lids under full sun. Probably not in circulation (per Mike, 2021). 6 photos (single 2021 season, 2 dates).
Standout traits
- Most yellow traps Mike has ever seen from this exact clone (after re-potting from a community tray after ~10 years of being shaded)
- Lid yellows up dramatically (Mike 2021-07-25)
- Vigorous insect-feeder
- Color expression depends heavily on full sun + recent re-potting
Cultivation
- Color suppressed when shaded by other plants in community tray; full color expression after isolation + repot.
- Color not at full potential immediately post-division — Mike noted improvement over multiple years.
