Origin
An S. flava var. cuprea clone in Mike's collection from Berkeley Co, South Carolina, originally received from Jerry Addington (Courting Frogs Nursery). When Mike asked Jerry where the clone came from, Jerry didn't remember the exact source but believed it arrived in the mail decades ago — possibly via Peter Pauls Nurseries among others. (Mike paraphrasing a 10+-year-old phone conversation.)
Standout traits
- Tall, robust — typical of Berkeley Co flavas as a population.
- Coppery lid + clean green contrasting body under optimal conditions.
- Tall, somewhat skinny trap form.
- Body rarely shows red coloration — atypical for cupreas, where red bodies are more common.
Cultivation notes
Long-term performer in Mike's collection. No specific issues noted.
