Origin
A Mike-discovered S. alata clone from Stone Co, Mississippi. Spotted in early 2024 — the only available division had already been distributed before the thread.
Standout traits
- Reddish body with golden-yellow lid — high contrast.
- Mike: "this thing is a work of art."
Cultivation notes
Re-propagation pending; the original distributed division and the mother plant are the only two known divisions as of 2024. Mike explicit about hoping the clone doesn't rot before bulking up.
Standout traits
- Reddish body with strikingly contrasting golden-yellow lid.
- Mike: 'a work of art.'
- Discovered shortly before Jan 2024.
Cultivation
Only one division was available before propagation began, and that division has already been distributed. Re-propagation will take a few years. Mike worried about losing the clone before that happens.
